captain's blog : keep write

My head feels like it's going to explode. I wonder how my supply of ideas wouldn't balance out. There are times when it's dry, and there are times when it's like right now-- I can't sleep. I still want to be a writer when I grow up. I realize now that I like to write.
The reason why the updates on LHP are slow is because I've shifted my attention in writing original pieces -- I'm transferring my load away from fanfiction. But I want to be a professional writer someday. And as a professional writer, I should keep on writing no matter what it's about, fanfiction or not.
There is a conflict of interest looming in my head. I should be reserved when it comes to writing fanfiction. Because people sometimes don't give much credit to the fanfiction authors -- since their work themselves are based on someone's work. But still, fanfiction can be original. Remember the golden rule: credit should be given when credit is due. This is taught especially in university.
Speaking of university, I've just received all of my exams. And I'm satisfied with my grades. I can't complain since I was sick while I was writing those exams. I'm just glad it's over and I can enjoy a few days of not worrying anything related to my academics.
I just checked my drafts while I was in class. The lecture was long and boring, so I opened my notebook where I wrote my drafts, while my other notebook was open. I imagined those two notebooks like two monitors of a computer. Geek much. Anyway, I didn't imagined (further) slapping my forehead when I completely forgot that I wrote a Keitaro's roleplay entry. And he's been missing in action for quite a while! D-OH!Labels: captain's log
