I just attended my first job training in my whole life. It's great to know that they called me right away after the training. And they also seem to remember my name -- not to mention that they're looking forward to working with me in the future. I am very happy because I feel like I've been recognized of something that I have no clue. Welcome to the world of labor, Jed.I told my parents that working with two jobs isn't a problem. Heck, I'll go for a third one just to help myself and my parents. I need not to rely on them anymore. Besides, I'll be living on a different from now on. I also want to establish independence. Feed myself if possible. Provide myself the luxury. I've been lied upon. That's for sure. Heck, all of us have been lied upon. It's really a pisser. It's my fault to believe in the first place. I'm stupid. However, the greater fault lies on the liar him/herself. I'm so thickheaded to fall for the traps over and over again -- it's almost a crime. We all have our own signs that flash in our head and warn us of an incoming lie. The sign might be a body language or it might just be a gut feeling that this person isn't telling the truth. Others can't exactly explain how they know. What goes around, comes around. There will come a time that no one will believe 'you' (the liar) even if your life depended on it. So quit it. What's the big deal saying that time flies so fast? Simple. A lot of days and weeks passed without any significant results regarding my work and projects. My life is getting behind everything that I dream for. Not to worry, my mom is pushing me on. Let me reiterate, pushing me to get a job. There are two things when I say 'push'. One is that my mom is nagging me, which is a kind of a negative push. The other thing is that she's helping me get a grip of myself and I should go on already. I'm afraid the answer is both. I am already on the move. I think she didn't listen to my plan, so I get the feeling that she's nagging me to get another life. I never want to be sitting at home doing nothing. I never wanted to rust. I'm used to handling a lot of work. Erm, but I don't think I'm confident enough to say that. Well, I do but I don't want a lot of work. Pampanga High School and the University of the Philippines taught me to handle a lot of work. Especially paper work. Doing nothing would be paradise for other people, but not for me. I will get a job. I will. Only God knows my future. I'd leave my worries to him and focus. I may not be able to find a job tomorrow, but the wait will surely pass. Life is a dance. Sometimes, we lead. Sometimes, we follow. But don't worry about what we don't know. My novel project shows that I'm trying very hard writing, struggling to even pick up shards of thoughts and ideas to form a cohesive story. I'm having a hard time but the drafts are set -- yeah, set to be on fire. Maybe because I can't write simple English. Simple English? You know, sometimes we add too much color in what God knows we're writing and in the end it might not make sense at all. I remember my English One professor telling me that the effective way of writing is write what you mean. Don't make it too complicated, don't make it too loose, don't make it too flowery, out with it already. It's up to your creativity on how to keep your readers glued to their seats and make them patient as you point out the climax of everything. And oh yeah, I almost forgot. Make your sentences short. My professor also told me not to correct the sentences right away. Instead, take a walk after finishing the whole essay, or whatever and come back. Then, check and correct. Having a friend look at the finished document is also a nice technique. The later grammar check is also effective when you're dying to tell something but words escape you to express it. Just write down what you have in mind even if they're just phrases or words and look at them later. That way, you'll be able to find the right terms to connect each points. Aalis ako ngayon sana upang lumigid ligid sa aking paligid pero nawalan kami ng tubig. May leak yung tubo namin sa bahay kaya hininto yung main valve. Ang masaklap pa nito, sumakit yung tiyan ko pagkatapos. Buti na lang nakayanan ng aking pagsisikap hanggang nakabalik ang tubig. Siyangapala, nakalimutan ko na malamig pa pala rito. Negative ang temperature. Isang araw nga muntik nang ma- frostbite ang mga tenga ko. Buti na lang umuwi ako kaagad. no matter how grand your tricks are, you still have to do your best to land on both feet. Aha, ewan ko kung magsasaya ako o hindi. Wala pa yung inaabangan kong trabaho eh. Wala pa yung tawag sa kanila. It makes me burn sugar everyday. O sige, tulog na ako. I'll do my best this time!
